La Palisiada marks the feature directorial debut of Philip Sotnichenko and has been making waves on the festival scene this year, having won awards in Rotterdam and Sarajevo.

The film is is described as a police detective neo-noir set in the last months of capital punishment in Ukraine in 1996.
