The 71st edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival is fast approaching, set to take place from September 22-30. TFV’s Matt Micucci kicks off his podcast festival coverage by previewing its program with Joxean Fernández, who has been a member of the festival’s management committee since 2011 and is the director of the Basque Film Library.

The conversation touches on a wide range of topics, from this year’s official selection to the ways in which the festival helps showcase talent from the Basque region.
